WHPK presents a lineup of garage/pop/hypnagogic/fringe and exclusive performances never before seen in the Midwest.
The Electric Bunnies, first ever Chicago show, coming off of a huge psychedelic garage rock release on Florida's Dying, from the exploding Miami garage scene http://www.myspace.com/
James Ferraro, of legendary infinity droners the Skaters has been outputting outsider garbled pop, damaged Americana, and new age synth. Only Midwest show. http://www.last.fm/
Pants Yell! Unparalleled indie pop trio from Boston has been putting out studied and sincere music for years, culminating in their last ever LP on the legendary American imprint Slumberland records. First and last Chicago show, the band ends their career May 24th. http://www.myspace.com/
The Dreams, French glue wave/ art punk super group from Strausbourg (members of A.H. Kraken, Crack und Ultra Eczema, and the Anals) in skewed dub mode, on US tour. See them later that evening at Permanent Records. http://www.myspace.
Eric and the Happy Thoughts, classic-feel garage and teen summer punk straight from Indiana, utterly charming. On Bubbledumb/Homesick. http://
Teepee, looped bedroom pop from behind the shimmering Miami heat, tropic dreamwave. Catch him with the Dreams at Permanent, or on Hozac Records. On tour. http://www.myspace.com/
